Modbus TCP

From firmware version 4.0.0, the Asycube offers a Modbus TCP slave (=server) interface in order to simplify the integration with PLCs and other Modbus TCP masters (=clients) over TCP/IP networks. More information on Modbus can be found in the protocol specification available on http://www.modbus.org.

This documentation is separated in multiple sections:

  • Configuration presents all necessary information to communicate with the Asycube through Modbus TCP.

  • Performance shows typical performances that can be achieved.

  • Asycube Modbus Register Table list all the registers that can be read or wrote.

  • Errors explains the different types of errors and the way to handle them.

  • Example of use gives a few useful examples, such as how to start a platform vibration through Modbus TCP.
