Asycube Firmware 5

Asycube Firmware 5.0.0

Released on 2019-09-02

Tip

This release note only concerns the Asycube 50, 80, 240 and 380.

This new release fixes one bug and add minor improvements.

An upgrade from the previous firmware version will not automatically update the vibration frequency range. If needed, these values can be changed manually by the Asyril support team.

This firmware version is compatible with all Asycube 50, 80 and 240.

New features

Limitation of the vibration frequency

The default minimum and maximum frequencies have been respectively set to 40Hz and 70Hz.

Resolved issues

Bug fix ‘non configured vibration set’

The vibration set change is more robust (UV command). You can make now sure that the vibration set has been entirely and correctly loaded, by checking the response to the UV? command.

Example

  • Send UV?, the UV=2 response means that the vibration set 2 is the current one

  • Send UV13 to load the vibration set 13; the UV13 means that the vibration set 13 will be loaded

  • Send UV?, the UV=2 response means that the vibration set 2 is still the current one

  • Send UV?, the UV=13 response means that the requested vibration set 13 is loaded and ready to be used

Improvements

Better IP address management

The default IP address is hard-coded and depends on the compilation directives. It is now possible to set a different default IP address for OEM customers.

Support impact

An upgrade from the previous firmware version will not automatically update the vibration frequency range. If needed, these values can be changed manually.
