Asycube Firmware 7.0.0
Released on 2022-07-19
Tip
This release note concerns the Asycube 50, 80, 240, 380 and 530.
This release adds three new features and fixes two bugs. It also integrates an Ethernet bootloader. This is the first release compatible with Asycube Studio.
This firmware version is compatible with all Asycube.
New features
New logic of 5 zones for the EC command
With a view to simplification, a 5 zones logic has been introduced for the EC command (Execute Centering). This new logic removes the need of the 4 diagonals tuning. The register RP/WP 12-13 is used to select between 9 or 5 zones logic. The access level is set to operator (WP7=1234). By default, the 5 zones logic is enabled (WP13 = 0). Asycube Studio handles the 5 zones logic only.
New ‘UR’ command combining ‘US’ and ‘UV’
With a view to simplification, “Use Vibration set” + “Use Sequence” becomes “Use Recipe”. The user can still use UV and US commands. UR1 has the same effect as commands sequence UV1 + US1.
Serial number of the Asycube written in a register
The serial number is coded in two registers RP/WP 8-9 and RP/WP 10-11 and are read-only. The serial number is displayed in Asycube Studio.
New bootloader to enable update of the Asycube firmware without the specific cable
Will only work after update to 7.0.0. The specific cable is still needed to upgrade from 6.x to 7.0.
